Preferred Pediatrics is open Monday through Thursday from 8 am - 4:30 pm and Friday from 8 am - 3 pm. To contact a provider for urgent after-hours and weekend issues, just call our office number to be directed to our answering service.
Keeping your child well
Preferred Pediatrics follows the recommendations of The American Academy of Pediatrics for your child’s wellness visits. We recommend wellness visits at birth, 3 - 5 days after birth, 2 weeks old, and then at 1, 2, 4, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18 and 24 months.
As your child grows, additional checkups are recommended at 30 months and annually starting at age 3.
Our wellness visits focus on your child’s physical and emotional development. We provide the recommended vaccinations to keep your child healthy. Our providers take the time to listen to your needs and help guide you on your parenting journey.
Vaccine information
Vaccinations are very important for your child’s health as well as the health of those around them. The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia has created an app outlining the current vaccine schedule recommended by the American Academy of pediatrics. It’s important to follow the schedule to ensure the health and safety of your child. Find the app at vaccine.chop.edu
